Project case study
Mixed-methods evaluation: design to reporting
My contributions across 13 evaluation activities: 10 main evaluations, two baseline studies and one completed post-funding assessment.
Problem
Evaluation teams need a clear line from evaluation questions to credible evidence and useful reporting. Across these assignments, I contributed to planning and delivery while working with qualitative and quantitative evidence.
Approach
- Helped formulate Theory of Change questions and develop Theories of Change, evaluation matrices and evaluation plans.
- Supported stratified sampling across subgroups and survey design, including more than five SurveyMonkey questionnaires and one KoboToolbox questionnaire; supported piloting and survey administration.
- Participated in two focus group discussions per evaluation and reviewed program records alongside survey evidence as part of mixed-methods work.
- Cleaned and analyzed survey data in Excel, presented categorical findings by group in Power BI, and prepared reports and stakeholder presentations.
- Contributed across the workflow from design and piloting through data collection, analysis, presentation and stakeholder engagement, using a recommendation kit to support follow-up.

Result
My contribution covered evaluation design, survey and qualitative data collection, mixed-methods analysis, reporting and presentation. Evaluation findings are not reproduced in this portfolio.
What I’d do next
A useful next step in each assignment is to connect recommendations to an owner, an agreed action and a follow-up point, then revisit progress with stakeholders.
